Celebrate a birthday at Splash!
Splash! La Mirada Regional Aquatics Center party packages are the ideal way to celebrate a summer birthday party.
With a Splash! birthday party, all members will have full access to Buccaneer Bay. They can spend the day in the lazy river, riding the slides or playing in the spray areas. A children’s play area is the perfect place for those under 48”. Birthday packages may include use of a semi-private picnic area for two hours, or the option of an all day deluxe shaded picnic area.
Birthday packages are available for 10 or more guests at a special rate. The birthday child admission is free!
*A 50% payment is required in order to reserve a birthday party or group package. Reservations should be made at least 2 weeks in advance, all cancellations made 7 days prior to the event may receive a full refund.

Q: What is the difference between Splash! and Buccaneer Bay?
A: The Splash! La Mirada Regional Aquatics Center is a multi-use facility that houses a 50-meter competition pool, 25-yard lesson pool, and the Buccaneer Bay waterpark.
Buccaneer Bay is a family friendly waterpark featuring waterslides, a lazy river, spay pads and other attractions. Buccaneer Bay is open to the public from late May through September.
Q: I would like to celebrate my child’s birthday party at Splash!. How far in advance can I make a reservation?
A: You can book your party at any time provided space is available. Visit the lobby to speak with a Splash! Crew Member, call (562) 902-3191 or email SplashEvents@cityoflamirada.org to make your reservation.
Q: How much does it cost to host a party in Buccaneer Bay?
A: There are a variety of pricing options for hosting a party in Buccaneer Bay. You can host your event in a complimentary 2-hour space(with 10 guest minimum), or rent an all-day Deluxe Party Area for an additional $139.
Events of 10 guests or more receive our special group rate of $21.95 per person. This price includes admission to Buccaneer Bay and a meal.
Q: What is included in the Captain’s Buffet Birthday Package?
A: The Captain’s Buffet can be purchased for $29.95 per guest for a minimum of 25 guests. This price includes a Deluxe Shaded Area for the day where your selected items will be served buffet style. Hosts will be able to select two entree items and two side items from our Captain’s menu, each paid guest will receive a portion of each. Premium options and desserts are available for an additional charge.
The Captain’s Buffet must be reserved with menu items selected no later than two weeks in advance of the reservation date.
Q: Can I bring my own food into the waterpark?
A: Outside food or drink is not allowed in Buccaneer Bay or on the Splash! pool deck. Splash! does have an onsite kitchen with a variety of menu options.
The only exception to this rule is bottled water (no coolers allowed).
Q: Can I bring a birthday cake into Buccaneer Bay for my child’s party?
A: Yes, you may bring in a cake or cupcakes for your party. Speak with a Splash! Crew Member at check-in, and we can hold the cake for you in a back office until you are ready to serve it.
Unfortunately, ice cream and ice cream cakes are not allowed.
Q: I would like to pass out goodie bags to my child’s birthday party guests. Is that allowed?
A: Sure, you may bring small goodie bags into Buccaneer Bay to pass out to your guests. We only ask that you wait to hand them out until the kids are on their way out of the facility, and that the bags not contain any chewing gum.
Q: What is the difference between a Cabana and Deluxe Party Area?
A: The difference between a Cabana and Deluxe Party Area is the size. A Deluxe Party Area can seat approximately 25 guests, while a cabana seats between 6 to 10 guests. Both options are shaded and reserved for you the entire length of your visit.
Q: When and where do I turn in my food order form?
A: Food Order forms must be turned in at least 2 days prior to your event. Preferred meal delivery times are taken on a first come first served basis, so we advise submitting your form as soon as possible.

Q: Do I need to bring in my own plates and utensils?
A: Plates, utensils, napkins, and condiments are provided by kitchen staff when ordering meals. However, we do not provide cake plates, utensils, cake cutter, or matches for your birthday cake. Please plan to bring these items with you the day of your event.
Q: Can I bring an ice chest or cooler into Buccaneer Bay?
A: Unfortunately, we do not allow coolers or ice chests into the facility.
Q: May I, or my guests, bring in our own chairs and sun umbrellas?
A: Sorry, we do not allow items such as chairs, easy ups, or umbrellas brought into Buccaneer Bay. There is seating available to the public; as well as the seating provided at your party location.
Q: Can I bring in party decorations?
A: The tables at your birthday location will have a pirate or birthday themed table cover on them but you may bring your own table covers to place over them. We are pretty flexible with the decorations you may want to bring in, as long as it isn’t damaging to the facility or furniture.
Please keep in mind there is not much to hang decorations from. You may want to keep your decorations primarily to table top decorations and balloons. Also, we do not allow piñatas.
Lastly, if you elected to do a 2 hour Semi-Private zone, please be aware that another party may be coming in after you.
Q: Do all my event guests need to pay an admission price to attend my child’s party?
A: Anybody over the age of two who enters Buccaneer Bay must pay the daily admission price, or be a season pass holder. Children 2 years and under are not required to paid for admission.
Guests who you have pre-paid admission for can check-in for your event at the Buccaneer Bay front gate kiosk. Other guests may still take advantage of the discounted group rate. Have them visit a Splash! Crew Member at the front lobby and give the name of the event. .
Q: What is the “Guest List Form”?
A: The Guest List Form is handy tool for allowing your event guests to bypass the front lobby line. Add the names of any guests you have pre-paid admission for, and instruct them to check-in at the Buccaneer Bay front gate kiosk to receive their wristband.
Please submit a completed Guest List Form at least 2 days prior to your event. Completed Gust List Forms may be submitted to any Splash! Crew Member at the front desk or via email at SplashEvents@cityoflamirada.org.
Q: What is your refund policy for parties and events?
A: A full refund of any fees paid must be requested a minimum of 7 days prior to the event. Admission vouchers equivalent to the amount of any fees paid will be issued in cases where the refund deadline was missed. Similarly, vouchers will be issued for pre-paid guests who did not make it to your event. No monetary refunds will be given on the day of the event for any guests who do not show up to the event.
